Present Outreach Programs

Welfare programmes conducted by DBSERI and continuing for a long time are:

■  Free tuition on Sunday to 400 school going children of the locality.

■  Medical Treatment at our Medical Centre.

■  Free eye treatment to more than 300 needy persons including Intra Ocular Lens Operation.

■  Free treatment to local TB patients from Institute's DOT centre and the Micrology centre.

■  Regular blood donation camps,eye and ear care camps are organized.

■  DBSERI is also a regular Polio Vaccine Administration Centre for the Municipality.

■  It also serves as the voters verification centre and local polling centre.

■  Boys Scout and Girls Guide programmes for children of the locality and music and dance classes for 100 poor children (under Bangiya Sahitya Parishad with Rabindra Bharati University) are some of the other initiatives of the institute.
